Facebook Dating: Summer of Love

Overview:

Facebook Dating: Summer of Love was an online event that casted social media creators as a host and "contestants". The host would raise questions/prompts on dating (thematically tied to Facebook Dating's new features), while guests share their POVs, offer dating advice, and share personal accounts of summer love stories.

Concept:

We wanted to create branding for the event that was fresh and lively. I ended up exploring two concepts initially:
    Option A: Focused on a limited palette of bold colors. Following the Facebook branding, this option relies on using the Facebook Sans typeface in various weights and styles. Illustrative icons related to elements of summer and love will compliment and add to the playfulness of the font.

    Option B: Visuals will focus on bright and vibrant colors. Graphic type will mainly be the focus, loud and unapologetic. Design elements will overlap, clash, and interact with each other.
Eventually, for our final design though, we decided to stick to the Facebook branding closely.

Tasks:

Brand the event, develop stickers, lower-thirds, zoom screen wrapper, title cards, email invite flier, and social assets.
